Rova and InkBoat join for an evening of structured improvisations on board the ferryboat EUREKA at Hyde Street Pier in San Francisco. Using the architecture of the boat, the ambiance of the piers and the Bay as inspiration, inkBoat, Rova and the audience move about the boat for a performance of unpredictable music and movement.

For Vessels for Improvisation, ROVA will be joined by dancers of inkBoat. Founded by Shinichi Iova-Koga in 1998, inkBoat is a physical theatre & dance company built by and with the collaborative efforts of choreographers, musicians, dancers, actors, visual artists and directors. Presenting in environments ranging from proscenium theater to site specific, inkBoat’s performances mix experimentalism and humor with a hint of the grotesque.
