Fondly referred to as "the concert that got away", this remounting of Rova's 1992 concert and recording of Larry Ochs compositions for 8 saxophones will be a truly exhilarating experience. The historic blizzard that hit New York in January prevented us from performing Figure 8 pieces during our retrospective there, so we were determined to make it happen in the Bay Area. Featuring guest saxophonists Phillip Greenlief, Shelton Aram, Cory Wright, and Vinny Golia this will be a major blowfest. Ochs' composition for this ambitious grouping are a major success, and a true celebration of the instrument.
